So rather than look at new listings, this week I decided to simply put together a list of my top deals in the Mount Snow area under $275,000. Mind you, there are a lot of deals in every price bracket right now, but under $275k seems to be the most sought after price range. What classifies as a deal? A property that has been on the market a long time, has had significant price reductions, appears to have highly motivated sellers, and is finally at a grab-and-go price.

Southern Vermont Weekly What's Update

This week I have something more important than the general real estate update for you.

Just a week ago my best friend Steven Wallace broke his back in a major skiing accident out west. You may not know him personally but he was an agent at Palmiter Realty Group for about a year. Right now he is paralyzed from the waist down and in a rehab facility in California. He does not have health I insurance and his bills are well into the hundreds of thousands already.

Mount Snow will be closing the 20th of April and their summer schedule of events is already available online. The lake is also mostly melted and water-skiers have already gone out on the Connecticut river in their wetsuits.

Spring skiing is here. Although almost 60 degrees outside, Mount Snow is still staying open until April 20th thanks to the great base layer of snow. The season was a full 5 months this year!
